Lakeland Verandahs is the business love child of Russell Millburn and Greg Kane. Russell has founded and led a hugely lucrative regional decking and fencing company, building its success year on year since 2008!

Russell has over 20 years’ experience within the UPVC home improvement market, during which time he also studied for a number of business courses including a diploma degree and MBA. In 2008, having been made redundant he made the brave decision to start his own business. On exploring a wide range of franchising companies, it was advice from his life-long friend Greg Kane that led Russell to start his own maintenance free decking business.
He’s never looked back and has managed to grow the business 30-40% each year since its inception - currently on track to break £4m turnover this financial year. In the early days, Russell built up some very good contacts and customers working the Park Home sector. This recession-proof and solid foundation has enabled the business to invest and develop further in the domestic homeowner sector – a market with huge potential for future growth.
Russell is a real people-person and loves to socialise with his customers and work colleagues either at the football, playing golf, horse racing or a good meal out with drinks. He is very excited about welcoming you on aboard and building more valued business relationships.
Greg has gained an enviable reputation in the home improvement sector spanning 25 years and has achieved huge success building his own businesses spanning retail, installations and manufacturing.
As CEO of Conservatory Outlet Group, he currently leads the strategic growth and direction of four companies totalling £45m. With a natural flare for marketing and business development, Greg really understands the commercial needs of customers and has a natural talent for building valuable close relationships with prospects, suppliers, staff, potential investors and customers alike.
He also heads up The Conservatory Outlet Network – a UK wide retail operation achieving aggregate sales of over £150m annually and is a great and loyal friend to all the business owners involved. Testament to this, Greg was deservedly recognised in the Northern Leadership Awards 2019. Lakeland Verandah’s exponential growth in retail has been spurred on by Greg’s knowledge, passion and skill for business development, marketing and lead-generation.
With over 30 years in the home improvement industry Paul has held national and international leadership Roles working for large Blue Chips in The UK and the North America. He been worked with companies such as British Gas, Anglian, Swish, Eurocell and Everest as well, as, working with a large network of small, medium sized companies across the UK.
Paul skills are in mentoring, coaching and developing business leaders to support their growth aspirations. Paul has a real passion for development, coupled with a strong understanding of how people are motivated to buy. He will support all your sales training requirements to get your business growing in no time.
